Five on Friday - Spring and Summer Lust

Today in my neck of the woods the temperature is a low 37 degrees. To many that isn't terrible but for this southern Georgia girl, I am finding it hard to function outside of my warm comforter. So I have spent the majority of the day browsing the internet and bookmarking some of the items I want to buy!

Panned Cocoon Dress - Anthropologie

Yara Birkenstocks - Free People

Falling Flowers Tee - J. Crew

Sunflower Slip-On - Vans

Eberjey Sylvan - Anthropologie

As you can probably tell my style recently is leaning more towards the boho style with loose cuts and fun patterns. I have also recently acquired a taste for slip on shoes and am luting over these sunflower ones that will be perfect for the summer. This summer I am planning on traveling to a few new cities, a few old cities, and even a cruise so I am looking for simple items to wear that can transition from big city (Atlanta) to beach city (Panama City) and all the other places I go in between.

What are you currently lusting over?

College Living, Italian Dreaming

* This post is sponsored through Linqia and features Hunts, Progresso, Kraft, Pillsbury, and Betty Crocker. All opinions are my own.

Recently, I went on a road trip to Savanna and as always I stopped at Publix on my way home to pick up some groceries for the week because I really dislike going to our local Walmart. I have been craving Italian food so much lately so when I saw this recipe for this Tuscan-Style Pasta with Arugula I knew I had to try it. I bought the few items I needed for this recipe and cooked it this past Monday.

To make this recipe you need olive oil, onion, bell pepper, garlic, diced tomatoes, cannellini beans, red wine vinegar, salt, red pepper flakes, rotini pasta, spinach, and parmesan cheese.

The actual recipe is super easy to make which is perfect for me because between work, class, and student organizations I do not have much time to spend cooking.

To start you heat up your oil in a skillet and cook onion, garlic, and bell pepper until tender. Then you will add the tomatoes, beans, vinegar, salt and red pepper and bring it to a boil before reducing the heat and simmering for ten minutes.

While this is simmering begin your pasta. When your pasta is almost done add the spinach, drain and return to the pot.

When both of these are done add the tomato mixture to the pasta and serve with parmesan cheese.

Simple as that!

Along with the many recipes that Publix had, they also had many coupons that could be used for the products that were featured in the recipes. I was very excited for the chance to save some money on my dinner products because I am on a college student budget.

Because I loved this recipe so much, I am hosting a giveaway for a $10 paypal credit giveaway! Use the RaffleCopter form below to enter to win.

Currently Coveting

Though I should not covet items, sometimes I can't help myself. Lately I have found so many wonderful little shops on Instagram that have captured my heart. From beautiful jewelry to pretty wall art pieces these picks are pure perfection. Also, all of these items come from small businesses which, as a business owner, I think is awesome! I highly suggest you check out theses shops!
